The Blue Ridge Parkway The Blue Ridge Parkway is 469 miles of scenic roadway that connects the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina and Tennessee. The Blue Ridge Parkway is owned and operated by the National Parks Service.

Radford University
Radford University is located in the city of Radford, Virginia, (population 16,500), 36 miles southwest of Roanoke on Lee Highway and I-81 in the New River Valley, close to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. RU is a coeducational, comprehensive public university with highly diverse curricula for undergraduates and selected graduate programs.

Cascades National Recreation Trail The Cascades National Recreation Trail ascends the gorge for two miles
to the picturesque 66-foot Cascades Waterfall.
It is a four-mile round trip.
Pandapas Pond
Nestled in the Jefferson National Forest near Blacksburg,
there are numerous walking, biking and horse paths surround this pond.
Huckleberry Trail
A 5.95 mile bike trial that runs from Christiansburg to Blacksburg.
The Huckleberry Trail is used by bicyclists, walkers, runners and
skaters and is also wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Parking is available on Draper Road behind the Blacksburg Public
Library and on public streets near the library unless signs indicate otherwise.
Christiansburg Aquatic Center
The Christiansburg Aquatic Center is home to a 50 meter Olympic size pool,
1 and 3 meter spring boards, 5, 7.5 and 10 meter diving platforms.
There is also a leisure pool great for kids, complete with dumping buckets,
spray features and water slide.
The Inn at Hans Meadow is a member of the aquatic center, so our guests can use it
free of charge. Special group rates available for swim meets.
